Policy/Senior Policy Analyst (Part-Time, Contractor)
Lucid Privacy Group seeks a part-time Policy Analyst to join our team of privacy professionals serving innovative technology clients. As a technical privacy consultancy, we work with venture-backed companies to navigate complex privacy challenges in data systems, marketing technologies, and AI integrations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic privacy compliance guidance to clients, with particular focus on technical implementations and operational solutions
- Support privacy impact assessments and compliance reviews for sophisticated data processing systems
- Contribute to public policy initiatives, including research and content development for Lucid's widely-read privacy bulletin and resource library
- Assist with Data Protection Officer (DPO) services for clients, including interaction with regulatory authorities
- Collaborate with team members on emerging privacy challenges in artificial intelligence, adtech, and large-scale data systems
Requirements:
- Deep understanding of global privacy regulations and their practical application in technology environments
- Experience analyzing complex technical systems from a privacy compliance perspective
- Strong analytical and writing skills, with ability to translate complex privacy requirements into actionable guidance
- Background in privacy compliance, policy analysis, or related legal/technical fields
- Ability to work independently while maintaining close coordination with team and clients
- Interest in contributing to broader privacy policy discussions and thought leadership
- IAPP certification (CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, or CIPT) required
